Sweating is HOT right now

Sweat is a hot look

Feeling a lil bit groggy after Pride this weekend?

Here are the astounding benefits of getting a sweat on so get yourself to a class or 2 this week and feel a whole lot better.

#1: Eases Pain

Got a kink in your neck that won't quit? Working up a sweat will soothe the soreness, exercise stimulates neurochemical pathways in the brain, resulting in the production of endorphins that act as natural painkillers, It also warms the body up which often loosens the trapped nerve.

#2: Blasts Spots

When you sweat, your pores open and release the grit and grime that has built up inside of them. Don't just sweat and go. All of that dirt from your pores accumulates on the surface of your skin, so aim to wash your face three times a day, especially if you are constantly playing sports or working out.

#3: Rids the Body of Toxins

Not feeling the whole post-weekend juice detox plan? Some experts believe that sweating can flush the body of system-clogging substances like alcohol, cholesterol, and salt. Get the most out of your Zumba and INSANITY class this week, two of the sweatiest workouts,

#4: Happy Mood

I never fail to leave a workout in a good mood. Temperature-sensitive neural circuits to specific regions in the brain exist and may play a significant role in controlling mood." So the next time you've had a bad day head straight to TeamYo who will turn your day around.

#5: Prevents Colds and Other Infections

Human perspiration contains a naturally occurring antimicrobial peptide called dermcidin, which has been proven to fight tuberculosis germs and other dangerous pathogens, It's like an invisible force field against germs!

#6: Regulates Body Temperature

The evaporation of sweat off of the skin prevents us from overheating during an intense workout. We are meant to sweat it means your body is functioning exactly how it should.

#7: Lowers Kidney Stone Risk

Yes, really! Regular exercisers sweat out salt and tend to retain calcium in their bones, rather than having them — salt and calcium — go into the kidneys and urine where stones form. Frequent sweaters also tend to drink more water and fluids, which is another stone prevention mechanism.

TeamYo Classes

You may have noticed that I take photos of my class after their workout and I do that so that you can see how hard they have worked. I get asked by new customers if my classes consist of super fit people and the answer is yes and no. There are people that attend who are outrageously fit and they weren't born like that, they worked for it week after week and I pushed them harder as they progressed. The people who aren't as fit have simply not been doing it as long as the others so they are a work in progress. TeamYo's philosophy and commitment to you is that I will never allow you to stagnate. These classes are not for maintenance, they are for progress. So don't be intimidated just be prepared to work as hard as you can and to sweat a lot.
